KABIR DOHAVALI

तन को जोगी सब करें, मन को बिरला कोई.
सब सिद्धि सहजे पाइए, जे मन जोगी होइ.
We all love to have a wonderful countenance, beautiful clothes, striking personality etc. and the list can go on to infinity. This is a mundane human trait, which is acquired by almost everyone of us. There can't be a single person out there who doesn't want to look good, get clad in beautiful clothes but unfortunately there is a grave dearth of all those who are the same in their heart also.
Guru Kabir says that each one of us want to embellish our outer self, our destructible body so as to gain laud from the people around but there is hardly anyone who wants to prettify and garnish his inner-self, his inner-consciousness and this continues to be an abstruse paradox regarding the whole of the humanity.  During our life, we are always busy decoration the outer body but are never satisfied but still we snub off decorating our inner self which , if embellished, would bedeck everything else because the real pulchritude that matters is a denizen of our heart and not our body.
Controlling the intractable heart and ornamenting it is not a child's play because this is ultimately the road to God and the road to God can never be a plain sailing. Indeed, controlling our heart means controlling the whole of universe. The day we take over of senses, our spiritual consciousness; everything else would get in order and contentment would be achieved and our life would transmogrify auto-magically. Our brain is truly the control center of each and everything and the day we conquer our heart, put curbs on irrelevant and harmful desire and let its benign and innocuous flourish, that day we would ultimately conquer our encephalon and extirpate all the negativity out of it and hence Guru Kabir lays so much emphasis on handling our inner self.
