Delhi in tatters.

A few days back the national capital Delhi was in complete sixes and sevens. As the Delhi government had not disbursed money to the municipal corporations of Delhi (North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC)). As the workers were not paid their salaries for around two months, they resorted to protests against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi.
During the protests, a very stupid remark was given by Delhi’s Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal that if BJP can’t control municipal corporations then they should handover that work of corporation to AAP’s government in Delhi.
This stupid and misleading statement was given to hoodwink the people of Delhi as well as the workers who were on strike and had made a mess of the whole Delhi by spreading the waste all over the roads. Currently there is a BJP rule in the municipal corporations and hence it is right that it’s the duty of the authorities to give payments to the workers, but what will the authorities do when they are themselves not given funds. Actually, it’s the duty of Delhi’s government to give funds to the municipal corporations for various purposes and the money is included in the National Capital’s budget, but the new “revolutionary” CM of Delhi proclaimed that his government will not give money to the corporations and they must go to the Central government to demand funds. Either the CM doesn’t know the procedure or he is trying to play dirty politics.
Even former Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit said that it is the sole responsibility of the Delhi government to give money to Delhi’s corporations. The sum that the central government gives to the state in annual budget is used to fund the corporations.
Afterwards too rather than conceding his mistake, Mr. Kejriwal said that center should give more money to him and it’s a BJP’s trick to stop Delhi government from doing welfare works in the state. So let me tell the newly elected Chief Minister that annual budget is not made keeping in mind that other parties’ governments in various states should suffer. Annual national budget is for the whole nation and it will never be made according to the wishes of Mr. Kejriwal. Its his problem how he will fulfill his unreal promises made during the time of election. Central government doesn’t say that electricity, water etc. would all be free.
First of all it’s the state’s government’s duty to fund MCDs (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) so Mr. Kejriwal should stop playing dirty and false politics in the state and the second thing is the promises which he has concocted and promised to the people of Delhi are so much kind of hyperbole and currently they are actually beyond imagination. So rather than passing the blame to central government now, he much understand his responsibility and if he can’t do that, he must feel free to resign.
